A vacation on vacation

A vacation on vacation

Today we went to Lund, Sweden; a college town in southern Sweden. We took a train from Copenhagen station to Lund. It was the first time I had ever ridden on a train. I still can picture driving over the ocean seeing the turbines out in the bay. We went to the university grounds and saw some early Christian Nordic runes. We followed up by going to a 12th century cathedral that had been converted into a Protestant Lutheran church. It was one of the oldest churches in Scandinavia. We went into the crypt and into the main sanctuary where we saw the words oldest working church clock. It’s over 700 years old from the 1400’s. We waited for over 30 minutes for the clock to go off and when it rang it was rather interesting. We left the church and went to the biggest mall in Scandinavia. I accidentally paid 150$ for a jacket I thought was 50$ and had to return it when I also realized it was a size too small. Luckily I was able to return the jacket. I was concerned I wasn’t going to get my money back causes my roommate kept trying to find one that fit even though I just wanted to get my money back. We then went back to enjoy some ramen at a traditional ramen restaurant. What a time to be alive
