Lund and scavenger hunts

Lund and scavenger hunts

Today we did a city scavenger hunt through Copenhagen in the morning, and we took the train over to Lund, Sweden in the afternoon. The weather was cold, windy, and rainy all day. The scavenger hunt was a bit rough with the conditions, but it was a fun way to really get familiar with the city. The weather was just as nasty across The Sound but Lund was wonderful little college town with an intriguing history, and I found it to be a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Copenhagen. Lund cathedral was beautiful, and I particularly enjoyed the backstory concerning St. Lawrence the patron saint of the poor, cooks, and comedians. According to legend when he was burned alive he told his executioners to flip him over because he was done on that side.
