You can’t fully appreciate where you’re going until you understand from where you came. That’s my hope for these students. They began this course with the task of reviewing UAB’s Sustainability Strategic Plan and visiting the UAB Solar House. Now we travel to Copenhagen - “Capital of Sustainable Development”! Copenhagen’s goals go beyond climate action and clean energy — it’s a mind set that includes, among other things, good health and well-being, gender equality, zero hunger, quality education, and responsible consumption and production.
